Introduction to Scrum Artefacts and Events

Scrum Framework Masterclass

Last Friday, I hosted a 30-minute online webinar about the Scrum Framework. In the session, I gave a practical overview of both the Scrum Artefacts and Events. The aim of this blog is to share the video from that session, plus the presentation slides I walked through, plus address questions that cropped up at the end around product owner roles and responsibilities and how best to present delivery information for those not using tools such as Jira.

Questions from the Session

Do you have the roles and responsibilities of a Product Owner?

Answer: From my scrum training we looked at product owner responsibilities and got shared this as an example.
The Product Owner could be Responsible, Accountable, Consulted or Informed about all manner of activities relating to their core responsibilities as outlined below.

How best to present Scrum information if you’re not using tools like Jira?

Answer: It depends what level of detail you want to present the information at. If you want to roll it up to the very highest and simplest level, a plan on a page is probably most appropriate. Something like the below roadmap or plan on a page could be appropriate.
Alternatively, you could always just take a screenshot of the plan or timeline you have created in Jira or whatever tool you are using and put it on a slide to avoid having to make updates in two places, which is very annoying!
